Peninsulas Picks Berkley For First Brick-And-Mortar Store
Peninsulas — the independent online retailer that specializes in cool Detroit and Michigan-themed merchandise — is planning to open its first brick-and-mortar store later this month in downtown Berkley.
The 1,400-square-foot store located on 12 Mile near Griffith is to open at 10 a.m. May 20.
It will feature the entire collection of Peninsulas products — other retailers carry some Peninsulas products but do not stock the entire line that includes everything from throwback T-shirts and hoodies to vintage-looking souvenir glasses and dishtowels. The new store will also include merchandise from other brands, including Detroit Denim and Stormy Kromer, said Robert Jameson, who owns Peninsulas with his wife, Sherri Jameson.
